Why does performance change after use?
I have read posts about having a truck reflashed by the dealer and the truck running better for a period of time but then it would later decline in performance. Does the pcm go through some kind of learning curve where it self adjusts after a period of time or is this just due to the driver getting used to the improved performance and perceiving that it faded away?
If there is a learning curve for an engine, can I expect it to self adjust after I install TP Custom Tunes? In other words will it run a certain way immediately after I install the tunes and then adjust itself later??? Just curious and wanting to learn more!!!

I can not give you a perfect answer here, but the truck "learns" how you drive, and the conditions like weather. When I change my tune to either tow/drag/street, it takes several miles before it shifts right, like when i first change the tune, and i do a wot run, it will shift at like 4k, which its set for around 5200.

It comes back as quickly as it goes away, and we're only talking about a few percent power-wise, so it's not a big deal - nothing to worry about.
the "power is going to be there" no matter how you drive the vehicle, but it may be say, 97% instead of 100% if it's driven gently most of the time - that comes right back with a few full-throttle bursts over a couple of drive cycles, so it's really nothing to be concerned about.
