Never heard of it here, or anywhere else for that matter. What does that tell you???? If your going to venture into the tuner market for your vehicle, then spend the $$ and get yourself hooked up with Troyer Performance and their custom tuned XCal2. There is NONE better...

Use the search on that one and it will give you days of reading. I like my edge tuner though. However the xcal2 is a very good choice. They change the tune in the pcm to give you more power and better shifting. Thats the short and quick response.

I just got the Edge Evolution for my 4.6L and I am highly impressed!! The throttle response and better shifts along with all the gauges are worth it!! As matter of fact, someone has a used one for sale here in this forum... I bought mine used for 250... best mod yet!!

Hi Green Ford,

For someone one a budget, or really just about anyone for that matter, we strongly recommend doing your mods in the order of best bang for the buck.

Now the first best bang for the buck is tuning, but here you need to be *very* careful - you want a tuner that can be updated for your future modifications, and that has the best custom tuning available, so that you get the best actual performance gains. That would be our Troyer Performance custom tuning, as we have specialized in tuning & modifying the Ford F-series trucks longer than anyone else, bar none. SO most people come to us for their tuning, so that they get the best possible results - our tuning goes much further in depth than any of the off-the-shelf types of products like Edge, Hypertech, etc., as they are not generic, and we alter many more parameters going much further into the PCM - this is why you get a much better improvements with our tuning than with other off-the-shelf products.

One yo have tuning done, the next best bang for the buck is to get the restriction out of the air intake tract with a top-quality air intake kit - we can supply that as well, if you like.

From there is to get the exhaust opened up, but here too you need to be careful, and just like in tuning, not just got for the cheap products - on the exhaust side, you have to be careful to avoid systems that will actually cause a loss in part-throttle & lower rpm torque, as most exhaust manufacturers do not do any real flow engineering, but instead, focus only on fitment and sound.

Underdrive pulleys are actually a sightly better bag for the buck than a quality exhaust, however, by the time you add the exhaust to our tuning & intake, those 3 mods work together very well as a system, so that is why we say to do the exhaust next - then it's on to things like underdrive pulleys & electric fans, etc.

There really is no limit to how far you can take your vehicle, other than your desire for power and available budget - the key thing to remember is to do the best modification in each area, don't compromise your results by rushing out to by something because it's cheaper, as that only assures you of a lesser result.

Right now you would be best off to take advantage of our current Group Buy we are running on our Troyer Performance custom tuning, and we are also doing come combo deals as well. You can read all about this down in the Group Buy section, and here is a link to the first post about our Group Buy: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=256108

Please feel free to call us at our number listed below to go over any of this in more detail, we'll be happy to help.

I hope this info helps, & best of luck with your truck!
