General Chip Mod Questions
People talk about an xCal2. Is this different than a Superchip or just a different version of a Superchip?
I am leaning toward the Edge, but can this be custom tuned to your type of intake and other mods?
Does the Edge have a gas saving setting or can it be programed to use one?
In Addition, Can the Edge increase the speed limiter?

SCT (Superchips Custom Tuning) XCal-2 if you buy the 9400, holds 3 custom written tunes for your vehicle and its modifications. Each tune is written for a certain octane ( your choice) and performance rating (also your choice).
Some like the Edge and some like the XCal2. I use the XCal-2.
Personally, I have had Mike T. tune my vehicles for the past 6 or 7 years and after trying others out there, I would not go anywhere else. He has been doing research and developement on, and tuning these trucks for longer than anyone else...You will more than likely be told that I am biased as I have worked with Mike and crew for the past year now. I would hope that this would only prove that after being with him and watching his R&D and tuning abilities that I have the utmost confidence in him....It may help to also tell you that I am an Engineer that retired from Ford Motor Company...Enough said.
And if you need more information on this product and whom you should choose to write your tunes, just hit the SEARCH button...

So.... Does Mike do custom setups for the Edge, and if so, will it perform the functions that I asked in the first post?

The Edge can not be custom tuned per a certain vehicles modifications. It comes with what is refered to as generic tuning capabilities, in that the tunes it contains are designed to work on every vehicle. Hence, another reason to purchase the XCal2 as it is tuned specifically for YOUR vehicle. There are no two vehicles that are exactly alike....
