I am sick and tired of all my friends with Ram's beating me off the line during a race! Most of my friends trucks are stock hemi's which have well over 300 hp. I have a stock 5.4L engine, 04 sCab 4x2, what should I invest in to gain horsepower and to finally beat these Hemi's!

Save your money and give up and be happy, a stock 5.4 3V is made for peek Torque at a lower Rpm than the Hemi, the 5.4 3v was not made to rev at the higher RPMs were The Hemi has to be to to get the power.

I had the 5.43V in a 04 F-150, now I have the 5.7 in a 2500 Ram.

Invest in a 410 rear diff if you want to compete, The week link with Ford is the Auto Trans, the 5.4 put's out respectable H/P and Torque but has to haul the extra in the 04+ F-150

Bottom line is the F-150 wasent built to win drag races, But as a general all purpose truck that dose every thing well.

Trade back to an 03 Lightning or HD :thumbsup:

You can leave the Hemi's and play with the SRT-10 if you do ;)

Custom tuning is what you need to dust the hemi, call TP :thumbsup:

E-fans by flex a lite, custom tune, and AF1. That should put you in good standings.

One word...........SUPERCHARGER

Hum...a whole new engine from Ford will do the trick, The hemi Puts outs close to the H/P in the V/10 Triton, not as much torque.

Get a 6.1 hemi if you want to beat the 5.7

I have put Manaflow muflers and dual ex and a CAI intake on my truck, H/P gains were minamal, but the sound is awsome and the hemi revs quicker, due to the low geraing in the six sp, I'm not going to win drag races.

HI!... HEMI's "THE OTHER WHITE MEAT".............No problems here smokin them.

Have a race that you and your friends are towing something. That low-end torque will smoke them off the line if you are both pulling something.

Sounds like what you really need is a bottle of Enzyte. :lol:
