Dyno'd!!!

Well, I need to do my no load yet this evening. However...

247HP @ 5400 RPM. That translates into 321 at the flywheel. Mods? Magnaflow SI/SO, K/N drop in, XCalII on 91 Max Tune. I hope I got the necessary data on the pc...

I never did a baseline, so I have NO idea what I added.

Probably divide by .77, I think.

Was told at the wheels * 1.3 for automatic transmission flywheel

Nice

I remember RP dyno number's, 259hp and F150truckin had 263hp. So maybe going to a AF1 or similar, might get you over the 250hp mark.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure I'll get an AF1 later this year. Should have gotten it when I did the XCalII..

Sweet

What was I thinking. You should be around the 260 mark. TP says 15 horse to the wheels.

Also, on that 1st run, I took it up to 124 MPH, and she hadn't redlined yet...

I hit 268 before removing my cats. I'm probably near 275 now (felt a reasonable increase in my heavy **** supercrew...take that for what it's worth). And unfortunately I did not feel any increase with my AF1 worth mentioning however I know many who say they have.

I could'nt "feel" any differance from AF1 myself, but do love that sound, you can "see" the differance in the numbers, I don't think you are going to really "feel" 15 HP in these heavy **** trucks......
I do Highly Recommend AF1....

Congrats on your trip to the dyno, Krohbar!

And yes, F150Truckin' was here on our dyno (which reads a bit "stingy" compared to other non-eddy-current units - which is why you don't see *any* of these 5.4 3V trucks making anything remotely like 240 RWHP in stock trim) and got to see just what a difference the Air Force One actually makes - he also got to see what Volant's do (and how a couple of those owners switched on the spot once they saw the AF1 numbers) and what other intakes did - and I agree, nobody is going to "feel" a 10-15 Hp difference in a 2.5-3-ton+ truck, *nobody*. Which is precisely why we tell people in our documentation that seat of the pants impressions are pretty much worthless, as some people can't even feel a 30 HP difference - that's what accurate dyno's run properly are for.

F150Truckin' laid down some *excellent* numbers while he was here - in fact, I have never seen a truck that was tuned "mail order" be more perfect in it's tune than his truck came in - but of course, over 60% of the trucks that came in for that same dyno event required no adjustment whatsoever, and only lost power when we did any changes. In fact, other than the owners who changed intakes or other parts while they were here over that 3 day period, there were only 1 or 2 vehicles that actually required or benefited from any adjustment over what we sent them originally - that's what happens when you specialize in tuning a specific platform for the almost 15 years we've been tuning F-150's.

And by the way - Krohbar's numbers were good considering that he's got a drop-in filter, nice job!

Congrats, Krohbar!

Imma take the trip up to Omaha soon just for that dyno. I have a 10k maintenance that Woodhouse has to do (freebee)etc., so I will have to schedule 'em appropriately.

I read you said you didn't do any baseline, does that mean you didn't do a run on stock program? If so, why not? Time limits, etc?

Again, glad to hear about the dyno numbers....wonder what a 4.6L will do?

By baseline, I mean totally stock. No exhuast, etc. And, I was a bit crunched for time. Got there a tad late, figured I would just do the 91 Max tune, get those numbers, and be happy. I'm not super nuts about it, just wanted to see where I was at. But, EJ, the owner, is prety nice. He knows what he's talking about. Said he's been tuning newer 'Stangs and F-150s with blowers lately...

Looks nice Krohbar.

Once I find a different truck I might have to make my way to Omaha and get a baseline number before I start modding it.

Beowulf-post up your numbers when you get them, Id like to see what the 4.6 can do since I might have to end up getting one (its impossible to find a reg cab, short box with the 5.4 it seems like)

Are those numbers from a 5.4L motor?

Here is some 4.6L numbers from a 2006 F150 with/without Superchips Flashpaq:
