Just installed an Edge Evolution in my 2006 F-150 5.4L. Using the stock program or one of the tuned programs I notice that my RPM's as indicated on the evolution are varying by roughly plus or minus 5 RPM either at idle or when using the cruise control. The RPMs are never steady and are always changing up or down by the approximate 5 rpm mentioned above. You can't see this on the analoge guage which appears to be steady (I am assuming this is just a matter of resolution with the analoge guage). Is it normal for the RPMs to vary like this?
