i was hoping to find out what the best superchip is. im looking at the 1714 and the 1745 what is the best one. im not really looking for more performance but what i want is much firmer shifts and much better throttle response. thanks

 

I think the 1714 and 1745 are pretty much the same thing, but for different model years. The 1745 is for 2005 Ford trucks; I think the 1714 is for earlier models.

I have the 1745 for my 2005 5.4 4wd XLT Screw, and it made a lot of difference in terms of responsiveness. Well worth the money.

 

I have a 97 4.6 automatic with 3.55 Ls it has 150,000 miles on it and will getting a chip hurt it with that many miles, also I have looked at a couple of chips and they don't seem to do a lot of mods for my truck.
Is it worth the $$$
