Question Hack a SC Flashpaq?

Off the wall question here. My fiance bought me a Superchips Flashpaq 1815 for my '06 5.4L as a B-day present. I wanted a Troyer X-Cal II, but seeing how she bought this for me, there is no sense in creating problems with an exchange. (Domestic bliss wins guys, sorry).

So, to sum this up, the Flashpaq is somewhat programable I take it due to the inclusion of a USB port/cable and the website that you register it to with for your updates. Does anyone know if you can hack these to change the codes for a more specific tune? I am not willing to do this myself, but would love it if Troyer had an option like this. Or someone else that is reputable.

Thanks in advance.

SnowmaNick I think you should talk it out with your wife, get what you want, thank her for trying. She should respect you more if she understands that the tuner with the custom tunes from TP will actually save you more money in the long run, instead of holding on to something for the wrong reasons.Besides women are so use to returning things she will understand.Goodluck!

Thanks TSDan. I keep tinkering with that idea. I would really like to see what the updates are capable of on the new Flashpaq though.

SCT website pretty much spells them out.I feel that the knowledge that produced the tunes in the custom tune is more reason to go with the custom tune.

Just an FYI for anyone looking into this unit (new Superchips Flashpaq 1815) that it is still heavily in the prototype area. Datalogging is not yet active, ability for custom tunes not yet active, shift firmness and shift point (that it says right on its own box, arrgghh!) not active. From what the 3 techs at Superchips told me is that these are all planned, but dates are all up in the air and the final decision if these features make it is far from being made.

I got a chance to have a superchips 1815 dyoned with my 4.6L, it actually made a difference in power (see below) but i agree that there are some things left to be desired, no datalogging yet.
