Add me to the cannot wait list
I hope the conversation with that shop goes well. If not, I'll be at the ford dealership on wednesday. I'll ask them for some info or maybe a number to find out who does their banners, like we talked about on the phone.
Looks like I have another ups man wait for. If he isn't here in 10 min. I'm gonnna go get in my car and hunt his *** down.. He has my AF-1.
Thanks for everything Mike. Let me know what you find out from that shop. If you don't agree on anything, I guess our next stop is Ford themselves.

I too, sincerely hope that my responses didn't ruffle your feathers, so to speak - and if I did, please accept my apologies, as I'd never want to do that!!
It seems that I keep having to confess to this on a more frequent basis here lately - meaning my lack of skills as a writer - sometimes the tone of my words just don't convey the tone in which I'm actually thinking when I try to get across factual info, and please forgive me for that! Sometimes people tease me calling me "the original Data" - you know, the emotionless automaton from Star Trek The Next Generation!
I did appreciate the opportunity to speak with Dan for quite some time the other day, as I was going over some final info on his tuning, which is now done and one it's way!
And for Rock Krusher, he & I have had the opportunity to speak on a few occasions, as he is very kindly working with us on finding a shop that can handle making Troyer Performance windshield banners in a manner that is acceptable to us - and he has done QUITE a bit of work in that regard, for which we thank him greatly! The poor guy has talked to numerous companies in his area, and finally found one that we think might be a good candidate - and as soon as I can catch my breath here a bit between the new shop and getting these Group Buy tunes out, we'll be speaking with that shop.
And by the way Derrik, your tuning is done and on it's way as well!
For those keeping score on our custom tuning turn-around time, we are at 15 business days, from the time we get your CPW's to the time we have the tuning done and are shipping it out the door - so the Group Buy has not really slowed us down, it's just made us work much harder! The Group Buy has added, at most, about 2 more working days to our normal average turn-around time on our custom tunes, just FYI in general.
So for both of your gentlemen, thanks very much for your posts, and by all means, we are "cool" - I am especially grateful for all the time that Dan spent with me over this past weekend going over all the details on this very unusual configuration that is a bit of a challenge to tune, and for Rock Krusher for all his many calls & time spent helping us to find a company to get our windshield banner done. For those who have kept up with our "saga" on that, we have been thru numerous companies who all said they could do it, including taking a couple of 1997-203 and then a 2004 F-150 up and leaving them at a couple of companies so that they could get the profile of the windshield, etc - and neither one of them, even with having the vehicles sitting there on their parking lots, could do a darn thing that looked even remotely acceptable - so it's been a nightmare getting what would seemingly be a simple thing to do.
What we have found is that getting windshield banners done for cars is far easier - their don't have anywhere near the amount of curvature to their windshields, and they are much smaller windshields, too - but in these late-model F-150's, they are huge windshields, and have a significant curvature to them, so it's been a real PITA to try to get this done in a manner acceptable to us - so many thanks to you both!

Well, I finally am ready to fax the papers in to Mr. Troyer for the X-Cal II group buy (orderd the 22nd). Had to wait the weekend to use the boss' fax machine
I had the Stage 1 setup on my old '97 F-150. The AF1 and Magnaflow exhaust was incredible. Too bad I tore the hell outta that truck so now I am in a '05 STX and craving the X-Cal II (had the #6600 4 bank chip in the Stage 1).
Especially after reading about all the hassles the Edge people are having, there wasn't even a doubt in my mind which way to go.
Many thanks again to Crystal, who as per usual is so patient with questions and concerns.
Now, the wait begins.....

Hi beowolf,
Congrats on getting your paperwork done - & sorry it took you a while to get it to a fax machine!
And for Rock Krusher - yeah, I about busted a gut laughing when I saw the header on your fax, meaning the header from the fax machine on which you sent in your CPW's - I think without a doubt you must hold the record for the longest time, by far - since the header read January 16th, 1996 - that would make it, let's see, about a decade & a month *plus* ?!?!?!??

Add me to the list as well.....
Placed my order for the XCAL2 and AF-1 intake for my truck today. I went with the 87 Performance, 93 tow, and 93 Performance. Can't wait to see how it does for my 4.2L V6. I haven't read that there has been all that many that have tuned their 4.2L so I am anxious to see how it does for my truck.
Hey Mike. I probably can get someone to do our banners if you are still looking. I work for a car dealership and they have a person that does banners and comes in and does an awesome job. Let me know. You can email me at TM4221@Aol.com if you are interseted.
Yeah, that's the way to get to the head of the line - change the header date on your fax machine to 20 years ago - pretty funny!
Congrats to ChrisT for getting in on the Group Buy and AF1 combo deal, excellent upgrades that you will enjoy!
For 150Lariat2000 - I will keep that in mind, thanks. I have not had a chance to speak with this other shop yet, and the real issue is that this is not a custom banner job, it's for mass production, so it's not something where someone cna come in and make it for each individual vehicle, install it & make it work - it has to work perfectly on *all* of these trucks and be install-able by the average vehicle owner - that is the problem we have had with everyone else, they either way to cut slits in it and do a custom install (very dumb), or they can't get the curvature of the windshields right, etc. But if things don't' work out with this next shop, I'll keep you in mind, I saved your info & put it in our ever-growing source file for this - & thanks very much!
