Question Data Logging, Have you done it?

Just curious, has anyone with the XCal2 completed the whole process of data logging, sending the info back to Troyer, recieved their tweeked tunes (if required) back and installed them in their truck. I'm getting ready to start this process in the next couple of weeks and was wondering just how easy / hard it was to get through each step. I know the directions are pretty detailed but was looking for someones personal experiances along with how many dyno pulls did you do. Did you use the latest directions which I believe only require 3 pulls at the most aggresive tune?

Thanks
Gary

Hi Gary,

If you just use the SEARCH feature you will quickly see that a lot of people have datalogged & gotten their adjustments, while some did not need any adjustments - it's nothing new or hard, just follow our instructions, and call us if you have any problems. There are plenty of posts here about all of that, all it takes is 2 minutes with the SEARCH feature. You may get some responses, but usually most people don't care to come back and type all about it all over again after they've already posted about it - so use the SEARCH feature so you can immediately retrieve every post ever made here about datalogging (or any other topic), and you'll get everyone's feedback - it's already here.

Now for those who have the 2004 & newer drive-by-wire trucks, there are a couple of parameters that are named differently in the LiveLink software - for example, instead of "Throttle Position %" just use "Pedal Position." And for Open.Closed Loop status, use "Open Loop Flag" - there are 2 of those, one in upper case and the other in lower case - check both, though usually in the newer trucks only the upper case one works.

If you have any questions about how to datalog, that's a Tech Support issue, so that means a call to us, OK? We'll be happy to help, & good luck!
