We're off to SEMA!
Hi Everyone,
OK, this is my final post before we leave for SEMA!! A few things - first, we will be meeting with the Webmaster of F-150 Online, Steve Eppinger, while we are out at SEMA, as he will be there, too, and we greatly look forward to seeing Steve in Las Vegas! As usual, while we are in Las Vegas this next week at the annual SEMA show, we will have staff here answering the phones - now we will be on a "skeleton" staff, so please bear with us for this next week as we may be a bit slower than normal, and have to return calls in some cases, etc - but there will be staff here. For those of you with custom tuning orders - we will be taking orders with us to SEMA and I'll be doing tunes in my spare time as we get breaks from the show, so that we can immediately load them into the tuners as soon as we get back and ship them out to you. Right now we are at 16 business days from the time we get the CPW's to the time the tuning is completed and ready to ship (meaning orders where we got the CPW's in by 10-06 are done and on their way already, with 2 exceptions), so most of the backlog created by some software/database issues we had to re-test to work thru over the past couple of months is knocked out and we're almost back to our more normal 10-14 business days. Us being at SEMA won't add significant time to outstanding orders (in a few cases maybe a couple of days), as we have also set aside time as soon as we get back to loading up the tunes I get done while we're at SEMA into tuner & getting them out, as well as knocking out outstanding tunes as a first priority - this means that for the first coupla-few days after we get back (and we'll be back in the office on Monday November 7th), I will be taking as few calls as possible personally so we can get tunes out as quickly as possible. Thanks to all of you for your understanding on timeframes for our custom tuning - we know everyone is anxious once they place their order, it just has to be remembered that this is not an "off-the-shelf" product, but instead, is highly detailed and involved *custom* tuning, done from scratch for each individual vehicle - which is why we get the results we do. :) Good news - for anyone who ordered their custom tuning BEFORE 10-28-05 and has not datalogged yet - we have new datalogging instructions we just wrote that make it easier to get us the info we need to do the final tweaking on custom tunes for non-supercharged vehicles - including an easier way to get approximate A/F ratio info on many non-supercharged vehicles! To get those new instructions, give us a quick call or shoot us an email and we'll be happy to send you a copy of our new datalogging docs so you can get that info for us much easier for many non-supercharged vehicles & we can really tweak those tunes for maximum results! Now this new procedure is *not* as dead-nuts accurate as actual wideband A/F testing, but it's something we've done for years in a "pinch," and thought it might be nice for those who can't get to a local dyno to get their A/F ratios tested quickly, so we can at least get them pretty close and help power & performance further. So for those who thought the datalogging was too hard, or can't get to a dyno, etc., we do have a method that will help us to dial you in closer, especially those with any kind of aftermarket intake or "shade tree" (for lack of a better term) modifications to the air intake tracts on 2004 & up 5.4 3V F-150's. Last - we want to thank everyone for their support, and we will be checking on posts here a best we can while we're at SEMA - you are a wonderful bunch that are a joy to work with, and who we are privileged and honored to be able to serve - THANK YOU! We'll also be announcing some new things on our web site a little bit after we get back - some are things we have already been working on, and some new things from SEMA as well. Thank you all, and talk to you soon! :) |
