Don't feel bad! When I ordered my Xcal2 (October 12, 2005) my phone cut out 4 times while talking to Mike. I'd call back and he was quite understanding about it, though I was embarrassed as hell :o Keep us posted as you go through the next stages.
I can't wait to see what effect it will have on this set-up

You guys are a riot!
Cell phone service has gotten worse & worse with more & more people using them, it's just something we all have to deal with. I think the real problem is all these different networks and where the pick up & drop off at, etc. Frankly, I think it should be a requirement to have it be one big seamless network, and you pick your vendor of choice and pay them whatever, and let the *vendors* worry about who among them pays what for the cost of building the infrastructure to run it all on. But then, I know nothing about the business, and I';m sure the cell phone companies that actually build the backbones would want to shoot me for even thinking like that!

im just hoping mike is still getting them out quicker, i think i had faxed mine on the 20th, and am hoping to have it in time for my trip on the 17th next month so that gives him less then a month
Ordered 9/20. Received mine today!!!! 2nd day air, even though
ups wanted to take an extra day to get it here. No fault to Mike or his great staff. I'm sure Mike is working as hard as he could (even on the weekends).

Actually, right now we are at 16 business days from the time we get your completed CPW's back - it has to be remembered that this cannot be thought of as from the time you originally call us to when you get it, as we can't start tuning until we have all of the info we need, and that also includes shipping transit time - both of which are factors completely beyond our control. So we have to look at it from the standpoint of from the time we get the info we need to tune the vehicle until we have completed the tuning, as everything else is out of our hands. Remember, this is NOT an off the shelf product - it's the best F-150 custom tuning, and that takes time - right now about 16 business days. Of course it's human nature that when you order something, you want it right NOW!! We know that feeling all too well - but it's *custom* tuning, so it has to be thought of differently.
We have knocked out the basic backlog that we accumulated thru a number of issues created by software/database updates that caused issues (I almost dread "updates," as each time we have to test all over), and are almost back down to what we consider our "normal" turnaround time, which is about 10-14 business days. Now we also have to factor in that we've got the annual SEMA show this next week - but we will actually be taking orders *with* us to Las Vegas, and I'll be doing tunes on the laptop while we're there every time we get a little bit of time off the SEMA floor - so overall, the SEMA show may not be much of a factor in this, we'll just have to wait & see how much time we have available during this next week each day.
Another aspect is that we have blocked out time as soon as we get back to knock outstanding tunes out as quickly as possible - that's what it really gets down to, ans so overall, we've basically knocked out the backlog, and are almost back to normal timeframes on our custom tuning. We are also doing Dyno Days pretty frequently, it's been averaging less than 60 days between each Dyno Day, and the past 2 events and this next one have all been complete 2-day affairs, with a lot of highly-modified & complex vehicles being brought in, as well as all of the comparative testing, etc.
It's amazing what a load it actually is, and we thank all of you so very much for having the patience to work with us on this - THANK YOU!
As soon as I get caught up on the posts here today, I'll be making a post (or two or three, depending on how much text) that repeats some of this in a separate thread so more can see it, and talk a bit about our new datalogging procedure & instructions that many of you will be very interested in that makes it much easier to do the datalogging, so that *all* of you can have your tunes maximized to the nth degree easier.
Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know where we're at on this, and to thank you all for working with us!
