Any help???

Hey fellas...
Just a quick question...I purchased the XCAL 2..so I can't wait for that to come in, but i'm just wondering....before I knew better, I purchased a hypertech for my 2005 5.4 F-150. Anyways, upon recieving the hypertech, it did not work stating there was some type of an error. Anyways, I had to send it back to hypertech to be reprogrammed due to a fault in their programming. Do you think this will be a problem with my xcal 2??? I checked under the hood and there was no sign of the "famous" reflash sticker that we're told to look for so i'm wondering if this was stricly a problem with hypertechs program? I have never taken my truck in to get reflashed, and supposedly, if your truck was made after April of 2005, the PCM's were updated. Hopefully my truck wasn't reflashed before i bought it...any replies???

I have a 2005 and there are no stickers indicating a reflash and it was done twice! The only reason that I know this is that whenever I take my truck in I am VERY involved with the service dept and ask exactly what was done and why. Some delerships are really very crappy about this and mine refused to give me the code that it had been reflashed to unless I paid them $89.95! Its crap, but Mike and Anita got me through it and great cudos need to be given them for customer service!

Well, my buddy and I both purchased our fords from the same dealership about a week apart, and I sold him my old hypertech. It works just fine on his truck as it did on mine after i sent it back to hypertech, so it might have been due to a mistake on hypertechs part since I hear that ford had two different types of transmission settings for the PCM's...any suggestions???
