Hey Mike
Hey Mike
Thought you would like to know that I got my truck in Off Road Adventures Magazine this month. Of coarse I mentioned your performance tune in my upgrades. Funny thing is it comes just before the big spread on Jet Performance Products. I never see you mentioned in any of the magazines I get. I guess it goes to show you that advertizing in these magazines doesn't make you the big dog on the block. You are the quite dog that everyone else needs to watchout for. I know your tune was what my rig needed to finish it off with. Thank Mike
Hi Wife's F-150,
Congratulations on getting your truck published in a magazine!!!
I've never even heard of "Off Road Adventures Magazine" before - I hope I can find a copy on our local newsstands, as we're way out in the sticks. We subscribe to Street Trucks, Truckin, MM&FF, and several other rags, maybe we'll have to add this other one to our list now, if I can find one!
We've been mentioned in a lot of magazines over the years, usually small blurbs just as part of a customer's truck making it into a magazine - in other words, our customers being very kind to mention us. I don't think we've ever been formally interviewed or had a feature done on us, as each time we have been approached for something like that we've also been pressured to sign an advertising contract. But then, I guess that's just how the business is, so I really shouldn't be surprised or complain, either!
You're absolutely right - I guess we are the quiet little "dog" of the business, as we don't run ourselves like the major chipmakers do - we're just not willing to compromise what we do - we'd rather be known for doing certain things at a world class level. That also means that we make a lot less money, but I guess I'm just not a good businessman as for me, it's more important to sleep at night with happy customers. The truth is, you can only be world-class at a certain number of things, nobody can be the best at everything - so we specialize in what we do, and strive to be the best - and hopefully make our customers happy in the process.
Thanks very much for letting us know you got your truck in a magazine & that you gave us a plug - by the way - if you get the time and feel so inclined, please feel free to send us a copy of that article, as I doubt I'll be able to find that particular magazine on our local newsstands with as far out in the country as we are!
Congrats again!
