Need quick answer on programmer
Airaid and AF1 are both quality products that Troyer recomends over all others. The HP does favor the AF1...if 5HP is that important.
Xcal 2 custom programed by Troyer....thats the quick answer.

If you could talk to Mike, that would be great, but he is a very busy person. All of their staff are well educated on their products and will be very happy to discuss any questions that you have.
Everyone at Troyer Performance is extremely knowledgeable and qualified to assist you. You’re definitely making the right move; Mike is the tune maestro
Hi Daves F-150,
If you want the best tuning, it's no contest - go with our Troyer Performance custom tuning, loaded into the XCalibrator 2 - it's the world's best F-series tuning, loaded into the world's best piece of programming hardware.
We've specialized in tuning this vehicle platform longer than anyone else, and it shows in our results, as you can quickly see just by reading the threads here.
Plain and simple - there is absolutely no way Diablo's tuning can compared to ours - we used to carry their product line, in fact, they still owe us thousands upon thousands of dollars, but rather than sure them, I prefer to simply call them what they are publicly - thieves. We know *exactly* what's in that tuning, and it in no way compares to the results or thoroughness of our custom tuning - it's just that simple. We retune many Diablo owners who then rave about the difference - just as you can see in this and other threads here.
Regarding the intakes - for the 5.4 3V F-150, the Airaid certainly works well - but no, it is NOT "the best" intake kit for these vehicles, the Air Force One is - it gains significantly more power, is much quieter on part-throttle load, and is made of higher quality materials, as well as looking much better. However, with all that being said, the Airaid IS an excellent choice - so you should feel very good about that!
I hope this brief info helps, and if you really want to get into the details of why our tuning is so much better than everyone else's is, give us a call at our number listed below and ask for me - if I;m out (and I'm, in and out a lot), just leave a message with your name &number for me personally, and you can count on getting the exact facts - from there, you make your own choice, you won't get any sales pressure here.
Best of luck & talk to you soon,

Dont worry Daves F150, trust me, you got the best intake. How can the airforce 1 be considered the best because you get a measly extra horse out of it, especially when everyone that buys it has to modify everything. They might as well a built the entire intake themselves. As far as looking better, thats an opinion and that stainless steel tubing has no business under the hood unless its the tubing for a supercharger. In my opinion the airaid looks much better, it matches whats under the hood very well, as well as it fits nicely and all parts seat and secure quite well. I also remember reading a post in which someones airaid did throw a light, but they called airaid and boom had a new one that didnt throw any light.
no since in beating a dead horse over this. I got what I got. None of us are going to be side by side and win a million dollars in a race over 2 hp.. Besides with the bolt ons it an average of power, not accumalative.
So Im happy for those of you that have AirRaid and those of you that have Air Force one. On the other hand I do think I am going to call Mike on this tuner issue.... Now if anyone would like to race a stock F150 against mine with the AIRAID for a million Id be happy Happy to do so for a million dollars

mike was out, anyone know the price of these? Im guessing these are the same ones that STEEDA is selling? I dont know what the price is but their xcal 2 is $375. Thats less than a superchip 1714? Is that because it is a sister tuner of the 1714?
Troyer performance is not allowed to discuss prices on the boards. Seems most of us respect that and don't mention the pricing either.
You can actually talk to others besides Mike. They all know their stuff and would be able to give you a price. I'm not sure why you think you'd have to talk to Mike only to get the price?
