XCAL2 Ordered

I just ordered the XCAL2 from Troyer and Anita was very helpful.
I can't wait to get it and the bad thing is I will be on vacation next week but will not have it to play with. How do all the guys with the 260 hp 5.4 like it?

I can’t imagine anyone not liking the Xcal2 loaded with Mike’s custom tunes. The hp gains it makes are proportionate across the board so obviously the more hp you start with, the bigger the gains. The improved shift characteristics of the transmission alone make it worth getting. Rest assured, your gona like it

I just ordered an xcal2 from Antita on Sat. She was very helpful. She told me it would take about 3 weeks to get because Mike is in Florida this week. I will be watching for UPS to come down the road for the next three weeks. I know, I gotta get a life.

they didn't charge my account until today and i got an e-mail saying that i had a package being mailed 2 day express.

i really hope its noticeable. I have been running 91 in the truck for the last 3 tanks. I am gonna get the e-fan setup this week so hopefully after its all said and done, (powertrax no-slip and 4.10's left to install) i will have a much much peppier 5spd 4.2

I sent my paperwork for an Xcal2 on 6/22. Why does time slow down when your waiting for a performance car part and not when you are waiting for a vitamin order? Does Einstein's theory of general relativity cover that?

I did notice when I downloaded my credit card info this weekend that my card hasn't been charged by Troyer yet. I like that. Waiting until you ship to charge for a purchase is good business.

I'm hoping to get mine before my next trip in mid July. I bought it for towing rather than drag racing and I'm interested to see how it performs in that arena.

Enjoy.

I'm thinking we need another "smiles" option on this forum specifically for waiting, especially when Mike is down in Florida (hopefully not exposing himself to shark attacks).

Perhaps a face with a patient look that drums it's fingers every few seconds and the eye's shift left and right. Then, every 30 seconds or so a dialog cloud appears and says "Well?".

What do you think?

I Also placed my order and submitted my data sheets for the AF1 and XCAL2 on 6/22. I worked w/ Crystal and she was very polite and helpful. 3 weeks was also my lead time for my order, my credit still has not been charged yet as well.

Hi Everyone,

Just got back in from Florida, and nope, no shark bites!

Normally it takes about 7-10 days form the time we get your CPW's (Custom Program Worksheets) back to the time we've got your tuning done and are ready to ship your custom tuning order out - it took a little longer these past couple of weeks simply due to a technical glitch on the part of the hardware manufacturer that we use to load our custom tuning into - there was an update that went a bit awry, and that was resolved in testing late last Friday night/early Saturday morning, but that did add another week or so to that timeframe, because we wanted to re-test & make sure everything was OK - you might have seen a couple of the "no-start" posts on here, and that is what I'm referring to - that was taken care of by an applications software fix and testing to verify before we sent out other tunes - as it turns out, we could have gone ahead and sent out other tunes, but we delayed that because we just prefer to test to make sure - so that added about a week to the normal timeframe.

And yes, the trip to Florida added about another 4 days time to that - every couple of months, we'll do either do a massive R&D session, or we are working with various manufacturers to get all the latest & greatest, so it's a necessary thing to stay on top.

My apologies for the additional delay, we'll be getting just about everyone's tuning knocked out by the 4th of July weekend, it looks like, if everything goes to plan (Murphy's Law notwithstanding!), so you won't be waiting much longer!

And yes, you're absolutely right - we do not like charging credit cards until the order is actually ready to be shipped. I just hate companies that operate "off the float," using their customer's money instead of their own, because they have none because there's either no real company there, or because they simply choose to operate off the float on *your* money - we can't stand those types of ethics (read: lack of, IMHO), and it's far too prominent on the Internet these days. Now there will occasionally be an exception - for example, custom product orders when it's a huge sale or involves something very expensive that we have made to order simply because it's something that is not good to have laying around on shelves - like high-$$$ torque converters, superchargers, that type of thing. Some things it's just not good to have laying around for any length of time. We carry things in stock, we rarely drop-ship - about the only exception are things we have made to order because we feel that's the best way to do that type of product - or where a manufacturer's particular product is in such demand that they can't get enough to us to have us keep them on hand in large quantities so we'll drop-ship just to get it to the customer faster (we've had to do that lately with Air Force One's for the 5.4 3V's, for example). For everything else, we carry it in stock, in large quantities, and don't charge credit cards until we're ready to actually ship that order out the door, and send an email to the customer with their tracking number once it's on it's way. That's our preferred way to do business whenever we can, we feel, and it's nice to hear that is noticed and appreciated.

You'll have your tunes soon, everyone! In the meantime, enjoy your 4th of July holiday weekend!!
