Question about Superchips 1745 MAX Microtuner

As I stated in a previous post, I am the proud new owner of the 1745 Tuner. Does anyone know what the default "Superchips" settings are for shift points and shift pressure? Is the "Superchips" setting always max? Somewhere in between? Anybody know for sure?

Yes, they are basically right in the middle in the Superchips "MAX" series Micro Tuners, generally speaking. And we advise leaving them there.

Never try maxing out ANY of those settings, as that will only cause problems.

The most we advise anyone raise use any of that is not more than 2 "notches" above centerline - period. And usually all that raising those shift points at all above the "Superchips" settings does is slow down the actual acceleration times. The only shift point I would raise would be the 2-3, and raise it by 2 notches - no more.

Use the SEARCH feature here and you will find answers to all your questions - use the search filters to retrieve posts on any specific topic & you will get all the info you could possibly want on setting those units up - all that info has been discussed here many times before - just FYI!

Have fun & good luck!

Mike, thank you for your quick responses... But I'm still not sure where the "Superchips" settings fall into the range... I was reading the manuals for some previous Superchips microtuners (such as 1715) and those clearly show where the custom setting is in relation to the "Superchips" setting (example: MIN-----ST----MAX). But it appears that the 1745 is a little different. For example, when I want to choose the shift pressure, it displays "...10psi, 12psi, 14psi, 16psi, 18psi, 20psi, Superchips". So if I wanted to bump it up a notch over "Superchips" setting, what would that setting be? Am I making sense, I hope so...

Same thing when you say go 2 notches up on the 2-3 shift point. What setting would be +2 notches??? When looking at the setting range on the tuner, "Superchips" setting is always the last one.

Just re-reading my post is even confusing me, so I hope you're able to understand what I'm trying to say... :o

what i want to know is? does factory tech make a valve body for our F-150 trucks that firms up our shifts?? i have a factory tech valvebody in my lightning and my F-250 superduty. both of those trannies are 4R100's. i believe the tranny in my year 2005 F-150 is a 4R75???

i have the superchips 1745 for my F-150 and raising the line pressure is a joke. it produces at most 1/4 the result that a FTVB produces.

1.) bamorris - for Tech Support on any product purchased from us, ,you need to call us - we are not allowed to do that here. Or you can simply call the manufacturer at the number in your 1745's documentation, as is pointed out in that documentation - either way that will work much quicker and far better than waiting for me to personally come by here to type out answers. Thanks for you understanding & cooperation on that, it's greatly appreciated!

2.) FastFreddySlone - Yes, we DO have a Factory Tech product for the new 4R75-E transmissions found in the 2004 & newer F-150's - just give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be happy to go over that with you.
