2005 Troyer F-150 Stage 1 with upgrades

Mike,

Just picked up a 2005 F-150 FX4 Supercrew with 5.4 and 3.73 limited slip rear end and am interested in your Stage 1 kit with the following upgrades.......

Xcalibrator2 instead of the basic superchips
AirForce1 instead of the airaid

Already spoke to the lady on the phone for pricing and she was very helpfull.

Now on the 05 models I know they changed the exhaust hangars half way through 04.....has this cat back sytem been updated for correct hangar locations for easy bolt on installation?

For mapping since I haul a travel trailer here and there what custom tunes would you recommend? I was thinking something like.......

87 performance Tune
87 OR 93 towing tune (based on your recommendation)
93 Perfomance tune

With the xcalibrator2, airforce1, cat back exhaust and the custom mapping what type of gains should I expect on HP and torque? I know on your site without the upgrades your indicating an approx 35-40 gain in horsepower.

Thanks, Tony2

Go to the 04-05 F150 forum and read the thread:

"Going to the Dyno next Tuesday..."

This will answer your gain question. As far as tunes, I went with 87HP, 89 tow safe, and 91HP. I can't find 93 octane as much as 91, and I wouldn't want to have to search for higher octanes when I was traveling with a trailer - that's why I went with a mid grade tow safe. This also helps to keep travel expenses down.

Nice missed that thread..........as far as octane goes 94 is easy to find up here in Canada, and if it does make a noticable diff I dont mind paying the extra cost for it.

Yes, my Manaflow installed easily using the factory hangars.

I have the latter half 04 and my MF SIDO kit did not bolt up 100%. You will need to weld the exhaust pipe hangers as there will be no holes for them in the frame. I believe this only applies to SIDO rear exit on those with the factory tow hitch as the hitch uses the holes in the frame that MF expects you to use. Other than that it bolts up nice.

Hi Tony 2,

Congrats on your 2005 SuperCrew!

For details on our products, please give us a call - it's far too much detail to get into by typing (anywhere, here or or in email), as typing takes literally hundreds of times longer than talking over the phone - additionally, this is the Computer Chips & tuning section so it's really not appropriate for discussion here anyway.

So we have to ask that for any details on our Stage kits or other products, etc., please give us a call & we'll be more than happy to go over everything with you, & thanks for your understanding on that.
