I thought it was better to do your mods before the custom tuner? One reason it's custom is because it's designed to work with your mods. I could be wrong, but I do know the paperwork I filled out for the 9300 was pretty in depth with all mods, size tires etc etc...

In *some* cases, yes. For example, if you went with underdrive pulleys, then your tune may have to be tweaked to raise idle speed. Obviously, a supercharger would warrant a special tune. But small mods like catback exhausts and intake kits don't require anything special in the tuning. I confirmed this with Mike Troyer, because I was also concerned about the order in which I was applying these mods.

Hi purpony,

The 9300 is our "Xcalibrator" - it is a hand-held tuner that we load with our custom tuning, and is then used to flash your vehicle's PCM with your choice of 3 different custom tunes that we make specifically for each individual's vehicle.

It's a unit that is designed to work on virtually all 1996 & newer OBD-II & CAN (Controller Area Network) FoMoCo vehicles, including the newest 2004 & 2005 F-150's, for example, which have their own rather unique implementation of CAN that requires some highly specialized hardware - which is built into the Xcalibrator.

Here is a link on our web site so you can read up about it: http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...catalogno=9300

Please feel free to give us a call to go over any details, etc., we'll be happy to help.
