I talked to you yesterday about my chip that I'm sending back, the one that could possibly be blown and also asked you about the custom chip with extra firm shifts. Can't wait to get that chip back in! I forgot to ask about the ICON that is on the side of the Superchip box. It says better throttle response and quicker acceleration but I was wondering if it was available for my truck, what all it does and if you can tell me how much it cost. Thanks in advance!

Hi Harleyboy,

I love enthusiasm, and you certainly have enough for several of us, good for you!

You already have the Superchip, so you actually have no real use for the ICON. The ICON is an ignition computer only, that remaps spark advance on the fly. There is also a version that allows you to tune your own spark curves. It's designed for applications that do not lend themselves to a normal "chip", like some Land Rover models, a few boats, some motorcycles, etc., so it's not for any vehicle that a regular Superchip is available for, in other words.

We'll test your Superchip when it arrives, and replace it if need be, which is what I suspect we'll need to do. I know you hate driving without it. When you guys tried re-installing it with the engine running, most likely it blew then, as we discussed over the phone, and I appreciate you being candid with us, that's always the best way, so we know exactly what happened, no matter what.

We'll get to the bottom of it for you Harleyboy, don't worry, and we'll get you back up and running with your Superchip ASAP, we know you miss it!

Thanks Mike you know how much I want that Superchip up and running in the Harley can't wait to get all this straight! I wasn't sure about that ICON deal so I thought I would ask, good thing I don't need it because I definetly don't need to be spending anymore money these days!

Yes indeed, we sure do understand your anxiety to get it back in there!

Hang in there, it won't be long, and you'll be back to enjoying your Superchip too........ since you have a Superchip already, the ICON won't do you any real good, so you're exactly right, save your money and just enjoy what you already have!
