I'm not opposed to buying my truck a round or two, but I hate it when the truck orders doubles of the good stuff. I took her out to the local watering hole the other day and she stuck me for $34 in beverages. The good thing about her is after buying her those expensive drinks she will put out when asked!

Not to say you guys are wrong, but I heard that it takes a couple of tanks of gas for the computer to pick up the higher octane fuel. Is this true?

Hi BAR4,

Funny post!

Hey 4X4 Guy,

What you'll want to remember here is that "agrv8vn" is using the Superchip, so he needs premium gas all the time, and he's probably referring to those of us who are using the Superchip, I suspect.

You are correct in that it will usually take at least 800-1000 miles running on premium, and many times up to 2000 miles, for the ECU to do all of the adjustment that it's capable of with the factory program when running on premium, which isn't much, it's a max of about 2%.
