Mike, chip calibrations
Hi mike, I am still considering a Superchip, (even though I don't like the idea of always using 93 octane, or paying more for a flip chip and only using 1 of the programs.)anyway I've had enough of the crappy shift pattern of this truck. What I want to know is , are shift points changed? are Line pressures in the transmission altered, and to what degree? and how?
on the engine side correct me if I'm wrong, but timing is advanced, speed limiter removed or changed, and transtionial spark retard removed(shifting). anything else?feel free to e-mail any info. thanks again.

Hi jstang,
Nice to "see" you again!
We do change shift points, and those are set for maximum vehicle acceleration. And yes, of course we pull out the transitional spark retards used during & just after upshifts & downshifts, and all the other things you've seen us talk about here for a long time now, it sounds like you're pretty familiar.
We understand exactly how frustrating the factory transmission programming can be, so you'll find that's taken care of very nicely; line pressure is increased, but not a lot, it only takes a little bit more once we remove the shift delays & retards, etc.
What might help you is for us to talk a bit about what you'll experience with the single-program Superchip in which you'll have to run premium gas all the time, versus what you'll experience with the Flip Chip set up with the regular & premium program combo, etc. I'd suggest giving us a call when you get a chance and let's go over this, so you'll know all your options and the ramifications, etc. so you can give all that some thought. We're here M-F 10am-7pm Eastern, and our contact info is just below. If you'd like to give us a call, we'll be happy to go over all of this in detial with you, so you can decide what will best suit your needs & budget, etc.
By the way, looks like you've got a nice collection of vehicles there!

Mike im sure this is going to upset you but,
i dont mean to sound rude but why do you always avoid a direct question?
He asked about the engine timing and you never said a thing. I can recall back when several others like "rand" for example asked about this and you would just completely ignore the question as if you never read it.
Im sure you will ramble off into a story or something to totally avoid this question also but you not answering will simply answer my question & more.!

Moose-man,
Ahh, I see. OK, what I'd suggest is for you to just ask me what it is you want to know, and we'll be happy to try and respond, just let me know what your specific question is, ok?
And of course, if you ever want to go over all of this in detail, just give us a call, as we can cover more in a 5-minute phone call than we ever can typing here for hours. So what we try to do is to handle the relatively short & easy stuff here on the boards, and then the things that either take long, detailed explanations or are between Vendor & customer in nature are handled over the phone, so you can kinda use that as a "guideline", for lack of a better term.
Talk to you soon,
