Hi trussman,
We have the BIK2 code readily available. You're right, it's not a very common code, so there aren't a lot of them around, which is why you probably won't find one in the Classifieds, plus it's a new vehicle as well, being a 2000 model, and most owners still have their 2000 model trucks.

Mike I love it, put it 2 wks after I got the truck Oct 99 along with a carpet bed liner. This cover is about 4" above the bedrails which allows taller items in the bed. It also has the body lines of the hood in it

Hi trussman,
OK, thanks for the feedback, sounds like you've got a very nice hard lid there. We've got a cap on the back of my wife's truck, but sometimes I wish for the look of that type of cover..........

Yes, the SVB1 code has been around for awhile now, so it's available.

Hi Fast,
Yeah, we first saw that code in the 2001 Super Crews that started shipping over a year ago, in February of 2000, and they were labeled as 2001 models, that's just the automakers playing games with model year designations, trying to be "the newest" from a marketing standpoint, they're all doing that hot & heavy these days.

Mike,
I've been wavering trying to decide if I really want to get the Superchip. My vehicle code is IMP4. Do you have such a beast for my 1997 F150 4.6L? Also, you talk about the flip chip (switching between 87 and 93 octane). Is there much of a price difference between the normal on and that one? Please advise.
My Truck:
I've added the following:
GST "Lightning" Lookalike Kit (outstandingly installed by Darren's Auto Body & Paint Shop, Panama City FL)
A.R.E Tonneau Cover with Wing
Ground Force 2" front 4" rear drop kit/with performance shocks
AFX Avalanche 18" x 9.5" Rims
Bridgestone Dueler Tires P285/60/18
Dynomax Performance Exhaust
K&N Generation II FIPK

Hi Terry,
Welcome to F-150 Online, we're delighted that you're hanging out here with us! It's a great site packed full of great information on many aspects of these vehicles.
Yes, we do make the Superchip for your IMP4-code vehicle, that's a fairly common code on the 1997 4.6 automatic F-150's.
The 2-program Flip Chip is more expensive than the "standard" single-program Superchip, as it's 2 complete chips in one. We can't mention exact pricing here on the boards, as the Webmaster here has a policy (and an excellent one that we respect) against that, to keep the message boards free of what is considered "blatant comercial content", or issues that are between Vendor & customer in nature (delivery dates for specific orders, etc., you get the idea), so we ask that you please just shoot us a quick email for that info, or even easier, just click on the link below in our signature line that will take you to our online ordering system here, so you can see those numbers, and thanks for your understanding on that, we appreciate it greatly.
Once you see that cost difference, then it's really a matter of whether it's worth it to you to go with the Flip Chip, so you have the ability to run on regular gas when you want to just by flipping the attached switch. Just remember that when you run on the regular gas program in the Flip Chip, you won't see much power gain, maybe 3-5 hp at best. The real power gains will come only when running on the premium gas program.
The vehicle will still feel a bit peppier and run better even on that regular gas program in the Flip Chip, thanks to removing the transitional spark retards, etc. and you'll of course have all the other benefits such as improved automatic transmission shifting, etc. It's just that the real increase in raw engine power will come when running it on the premium gas program.
If you'd like to go over these details, such as the financial impact of using the single-program Superchip on premium all the time for how you use your vehicle, etc., please feel free to give us a call, and we'll be happy to go over all of that, so you can give it some thought.
By the way, looks like you've got a serious truck there with everything you've done to it, excellent!
