Post 4R100&CHIP

I just picked up a 2001 f150 and it has the 7700 payload with the 4r100 and i wanted to know if anyone has had a chip put in thier truck with the same setup that i have and how they like it over stock.
my last rig was a 1999 f150 light duty with the 4r70 and you can definately tell the difference between these two transmissions in stock form.

Thor,

What computer code do you have? Mine is ILM3 and it's so new that Superchips does'nt have the program for it yet. So all I can do is wait for it to become available.

So what big differences do you see between your two trucks? Does the tranny make that big of a difference?

Boss96hog,
I have the same code that you have(ILM3). So i guess i will be waiting also.
4r70: firmer shifts, not as smooth(as the 4r100),wants to hunt more in the taller gears. seemed to have more of a snap when you punched it.

4r100: smooth as silk, holds the taller gears better, doesn't seem to have that hard shift hit though when you punch it(too much slip). It does seem to shift quicker on acceleration though.
I guess the bigger difference is the truck itself(7700 paylod). much sturdier and heavy duty, handles wayyyy better, actually feels like a truck now. My other one felt like a sports car, lighter and manuverable. It is hard to really explain it but if you drive both versions you will notice right away!!!!!!
