Post Mike, Superchip reprogram, when?

Mike, I just purchased the Superchip and am impressed. When I oredered it I stated that I had a K&N filter and Ravin Z-33 muffler. Did I recieve a program for a stock F-150 or do you have chips on the shelf for different common mods? Also, at what point should I (we) consider getting a reprogram? I was thinking FIPK or ram air and maybe opening up the exhaust a little more. Of course I allready know about discharging the electrical after mods.
Thanks...G

Cool

HI!... GEEKY666 : You don't have to get a "CUSTOM" SUPERCHIP program for basic mods. The standard SUPERCHIP program is compatable to work with POWER PULLEYS, ELECTRIC FANS, EXHAUST, THROTTLE BODYS, AIRRAID KITS, and HEADERS. Though SUPERCHIPS does have an aditional "CUSTOM" program for headers which yeilds about 5H.P. The only time you need a "CUSTOM" program is when you run a PRO-M, SPEEDO CORRECTION, PORTED HEADS, N.O.S, EXTRUDE HONED INTAKE, SHIFT POINT CHANGES, REV LIMITER CHANGES. You should be fine with the mods you have done and plan to do.

Mike T. if I have forgotten anything, just correct me!LOL!

Hi Geeky,

Neal pretty much hit it on the head, you don't need any reprogramming for things like K&N air filters, exhaust changes, airbox kits, etc. You only need custom programming when you do major mechanical modifications to the vehicle, as a general rule. One exception is aftermarket mass airflow meters (MAF's), we're finding that more and more often they lean out the A/F ratio these days and that must be compensated for, but that aside, it's generally the major mechanical modifications, not the simple bolt-on stuff.
