ordered my 9100..can't wait

ordered my 9100 and I can't wait for it to get here. I had the diablo stage 2 chip and I loved the power it gave, but another company could not fix the surging at about 1400 rpms. I sent it back (well, in the process) and openclasspro talked me into the 9100.

What can I expect?

Watsonr Jul 21, 2004 12:10 PM

hey!

seen you on the other board awhile ago, glad to see "you have seen the light". Your going to love the 9100!!!!!!!!

I was over there too and they could not build one for my code and could never get an answer as to why (ssn randy), nice to see and talk to ya again. Thanks for all the help and encouragment you and OPEN CLASS PRO gave me. Sorry it hasn't worked out, but your on the right track. Thought service was good there? NOT EVEN!!

Been dealing with Mike for a while now and you'll never go back, except to use the boards.

Good luck,
Randy

hey yeah, I remember you....

I did my best to take up for "him", because I thought he was going to take care of my problem, but he never did. I did like the diablo though, but it just about drove me crazy with the surging. I've been running stock since about April now, except for the Mac intake and MagnaFlow exhaust.

good to hear from you.

openclasspro Jul 21, 2004 04:52 PM

hp

what you can expect is maximum hp- any issues resolved- unlike your surging- my speed limiter- you'll have a grin from ear to ear- mike sure knows the ins and outs of ford pcm codes!:D

I remember looking at your numbers when you first put it on your truck, but I don't remember if you thought it was noticeably different or stronger than the diablo?

ChevySniper Jul 21, 2004 05:18 PM

that's right, I remember now. wow, I didn't realize it made that much of a difference. I just got an email from you know who, saying that they couldn't take it back....what a joke and waste of money.!

PhAtNaV Jul 22, 2004 01:44 PM

re?

what the diablo chip was a waste of time/money?

ChevySniper Jul 22, 2004 01:48 PM

yes, the company from which I bought it could not fix the problem I had with it. It was surging at about 1400 rpms and they wont fix it or take it back, so now I'm stuck with a peice of junk worth 200 bucks.

Watsonr Jul 22, 2004 02:11 PM

gentleman!!

I do believe that I got off lucky!!

randy

did you end getting a diablo too?

I am guessing you got your money back if you did...

Watsonr Jul 22, 2004 08:20 PM

never bought one. it was to much trouble for them to make a template for my code. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION at its best!

ChevySniper Jul 22, 2004 08:27 PM

Evidently mine too, I just wish they would have told me that.

So your pretty happy with your SuperChips? I just wondered how it compared to the diablo, but openclasspro answered that for me. He shaved a half-second off of his 1/4 mile time from the diablo. I haven't read one bad thing about the service on here.

Quality means EVERYTHING to me. I am no cheapskate, but I do like value.

I just can't wait to get this 9100, it sounds like the most bang for the buck.

Hi ChevySniper,

I just had to respond to your choice of screen names here - that cracks me up. :)

Over the years I've owned, modified & tuned just about everything American-made - when I drag raced professionally, it was in Mopars, and I was a Corvette nut for a good while (had 13 of them). I like almost any vehicle that has had good quality work done to it, been done right, etc. But when it comes to the trucks & musclecars that we *love*, Ford blue is what's running in our veins. Ford is where it's at, so the "ChevySniper" screen name brings a big grin to my face. :)

Congratulations on your decision, You'll love what our custom tuning does for your truck!

ChevySniper Jul 24, 2004 08:59 PM

thanks Mike...can't wait to get my tuner from you....Phil sent me your way and he said I can't go wrong dealing with you.

I have a question now though, I'm getting ready to polish my tb will that effect my tuning? I've already faxed over my paperwork to Anita. Should I hold off on the tb work?

ChevySniper Jul 25, 2004 04:12 PM

Well, sorry I was too impatient too wait for a reply :D

I polished it last night and it came out really nice. The results are in the trottle body chip thread.

Thanks again Phil for all of your knowledge....:bows:
