Do Chips void warranties?
No...unless FORD can PROVE it caused the damage and that the vehicle would not have been damaged without it installed. Any dealership that tells you it voids the warranty is full of crapola!

Hi Chizman,
I don't know about the laws in Canada, but here in America we have the protection of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which basically states what Dustoff said in his response to you.
Meaning, it all gets down to ehat you do to your vehicle; if you do something that actually causes damage needing repairs, then that wouldn't be covered under warranty. Things like K&N air filters, airbox elimination kits, chips, cat-back exhaust systems, etc., have no affect on your vehicle's warranty. If you bolt on a supercharger, then you can probably kiss your powertrain warranty goodbye, because it could stress some components beyond their design limitations, for example.
