Post the chip

this might be a repetitive question that I am asking but will the superchip work and perform as well on a manual transmission, as it does on an automatic.

Hi Split,

That's an excellent question, and you're right, it has come up before, and probably always will as new people come to this site.

The answer is yes, the engine will gain the same power gain on a manual as it does on an automatic in these vehicles. And, since you have a manual, more of that power will get to the rear wheels, because the manual powertrains only absorb half as much power as the automatic drivetrains do.

THe manuals get all the same benefits in terms of added power, mileage, removal of top speed limiter etc. The biggest difference is that since it's a manual, we can't firm up the upshift characteristics of course.
