Mike, we have a 2001 SuperCrew 5.4L 4x4 and the code for our truck is UAT2. Is the UAT2 code one that already existed on previous F-150 models? Are there any differences between the two that would be of note or concern for my stock truck (K&N filter and the engine oil are the only things changed on this truck).

Yes, the UAT2 code already existed, but it was *very* close in timing to the release of the Super Crews, so Ford may well have done UAT2 R&D in the Super Crews before it ever saw the light of day in the 2000 F-150, and that is what I suspect. The UAT2 code first surfaced (for us) roughly in January of this year, and is still used in many of the new Super Crews.

The 5.4 in the 1999 & newer F-150's is all the same, whether it's a Super Crew or not.

Having the UAT2 code does not put you at a disadvantage as compared to vehicles with the UAT3 code, if that is what you are wondering.
