superchip?
Congrats on the chip, the truck and joining this website.
Before you decide one way or the other on the chip make sure you are running premium fuel and give it 5 tanks to complete the learning process. My experience is that you will see performance gains as you continue to drive it.
You should notice an improvement in the transmission shifts already. If you don't - are the contacts clean enough? Is the chip still seated correctly? Do you notice any improvement at all?
At this point my best advice is to wait and see.

Hi Snowcrew,
A couple of quick suggestions....
You need to make sure and disconnect your battery for a few minutes, to clear the factory program from volatile memory. Otherwise, it's going to take a few days of driving to notice the effects.
Another thing to remember is that the Superchip is, in round numbers, about a 10%-12% power gainer, and you have one of the heaviest F-150's ever built in that new Super Crew. 10% more power on a 5500 - 6000 lb. vehicle is only going to do so much.
Use the best premium gas available to you, and just drive it, accumulate some miles. Drive it for 3 weeks, and then take it out for a full week. My bet is you'll never want to pull it out again.
Good luck,

Well I had a problem with my chip I think!! At 35-38 mph the engine would cut out It also cut out once at hiway speed and once coming to a stop. I pulled the chip out and all seems fine. Talked to the distributor and he will look into it. Any suggs???

The contacts might not be clean enough OR the computer mounting bracket is slightly pushing on the Superchip and slightly breaking the contact...even when I used two pieces of duct tape.
I installed my Superchip..drove it several times..and parked it for the night. The next morning..I went to start it..and it would not start. I eventually just pushed on the chip, and the truck started right up. I took everything out (again), removed computer and removed the mounting bracket. I flattened the top part of the rolled up edge where the chip sits. No problems at all since.
Good luck!

On my last truck, especially since it was a 4x4, I used duct tape to secure the chip to the computer. I added tape to this one too!!
