Where's the code? Mike?
I remember a thread regarding the computer code on the passenger side door regarding 97 F150's. I checked both side and nothing....I can see a sticker (or what's left) it useless. Where else can I get the code? Can I pull the kick panel off and get it without removing anything?

You might want to check the drivers side kickpanel. Its the only way I believe.

Dear Silverback,
Sure, you can always go to the computer itself. It's mounted so that most of it is in the cabin, and it's just above the passenger's kick panel. You'll see that it is held to it's mounting bracket by a black clip, which is a pressure clip. Just pull that clip off, as the other post suggested, and you can see on the back of the computer where the clip was covering, there will be yet another sticker with your computer code on it. Also, you can go to the wiring harness, which will be right behind the battery on the firewall. It will have a black "cap" on it, with a single 10mm bolt head dead-center. There will be another code sticker on the front of the computer where the wiring harness connects to. Just remember, it will always be 3 letters and a number on that vehicle, like YSL2, HAL4, IMP4, DJJ3, etc., there are a dozen or more codes for that year alone. Let us know if you have any more trouble locating your code! All the best, ------------------ Mike Troyer Performance Products, Inc. Under that black plstic clip up under the passengers side. Slide your passengers seat all the way back get down uner there and look up on the side fire wall. Metalic box with a black plastic clip on the front. Slide the clip down and there she is. A sticker with bar code and three letters and a number. Look at Dukes "how too" for a picture of it.

Hey silverback, TBL2 is the computer code you're looking for.... it's in the big bold print! The code is 3 letters followed by a number.... mines is CPE2. I have the lid to the cap that I pried out of my computer. You may also want to check out "Dukes" site. He has a How-To-Install a Superchip step by step page with pictures and everything! I looked over it a couple of times and installed mine in 35 minutes.... http://bloodog.com/superchip.asp . Mike's GREAT, and you can trust him completely.... hands on and very compassionate about his work and the people he helps.... Truly!

Dear Silverback,
Yep, TBL2 is your computer code, congrats! That code is for a California emissions-equipped vehicle, as a matter of fact. That code is ready anytime you are, and lots of people in California with that code are using the TBL2 Superchip. ------------------ Mike Troyer Performance Products, Inc.
