TomC, who lives in Tacoma but doesn't drive one:

I think the problem here is that Fordyfour and his Siamese twin Crankshaft have embarrassed themselves regarding the business of selling Super_chips.

So, they want to change to an issue that they think they know something about: gasoline refining. Instead it has become apparent that they spend too much time sniffing it rather than refining it.........

To Fourdy Four, etc.

It's *quite* obvious to everyone what's really going on here, so don't even bother. By the way, the comment you made in another section telling people that if they think we donate profits to charity you have a bridge to sell them? We *do* in fact donate all net proceeds to charity, as we have devoted our lives to helping those less fortunate. So as you can imagine, I don't have time to spend arguing here with you. That time is much better spent doing our charity work.

For the record, my opinions are based on personal direct experience, the results we've had reported for years from customers all across the country, and from industry reports on BTU per lb. of fuel, etc., and other sources. I have stated quite clearly that it is possible to get different reuslts in different areas of the country, and that if you are happy with what you're using, continue. For example some people report getting good results with Chevron, which is another fuel I don't care for, as it's mileage results are not consistent in my experience, due to varying enery content.

If you're getting good results with BP, good for you. Every single time I've used it in the past 10 years I have seen a detriment to idle quality show up very quickly, less than 2 tanks in each case.

In addition, I have worked in many of this countries refineries & tank farms, so I do know a good bit of what goes on, and what can happen with gas supplies etc. in different areas. I've seen enough, had reported back to us enough, and seen enough industry reports to cause me to form the opinions that I hold. You have a right to your opinion, and I have a right to mine, plain and simple. If you don't like mine, don't read it, and don't use it, very simple.

Question

Well Fordyfour are you going to respond as to why you have it in for Mike?
Why do you have to resort to abusive language and physical threats?
This board is for free flow of ideas and......"opinions". Everyone has one even you. Everyone is allowed to post one, even you. But, we should be civil about it and allow others to have their opinions. We can discuss our differences without resorting to these tactics. It just makes you look bad and Mike look good. Most people, excluding yourself, respect Mike's opinion because of the great advice he has given. I have even seen him tell people to buy a competitors chip if that is what they wanted.
So long story short, what is your deal?

Question

Did anyone notice in Mr. Crankshaft's post,(above on 2/19) how the posting was signed????

A week or so ago Steve.E (webmaster) was questioning the fact a new member's first post was a flame directed twards a buisness compeditor.

Well someone who claims to be Crankshaft just happened to sign his post as,D

I think this is your answer,Steve...You were correct.

I have so little respect for liars. Here is some information for everyone to mull over and decide from here on out if "fordyfour" or "Fullservice" actually bring value to these message boards or just have a (poorly hidden) agenda...

Here are the IP addresses/hosts for the messages posted by these "two" people...interesting coincidence? Not a surprise.

Ok, I don't have time to get into this, nor do I want to.. but here's my p.o.v. on this..

I got a superchip from Mike T. & Superchips.
It made & continues to make a BIG IMPROVEMENT in several areas & I enjoy driving my truck even more since I got it !
I had taken it out & what happens.. poor performance, back in, it's great again.. !

I have been trying mike's gas info. out & Exxon does rate low to me, Chevron down here in Tx. is a bit better than Exxon, but Texaco is the BEST so far..

SO, in conclusion, I LIKE MIKE & his opinions & he has been nothing but nice to me & My friends here who have been dealing w/him in the chip area..

Keep up the good work Mike !

It comes as no surprise to us what Steve the Webmaster found out about the IP addresses, we suspected that this was the case for some time. It ain't the first time, and probably won't be the last. There will always be, unfortunately, a few people with petty jealousies who don't know how to act, and think that trying to destroy, threaten, & generally make a nuisance of themselves is appropriate behavior. When you stop and think about it, it's hilarious that they (Fourdy Four and all his other aliases) would actually think they're going to intimidate *anyone*, how utterly absurd.

The shame of it is that we have to see that type of thing here on the message boards that Steve and a lot of other people work so very hard to keep mellow and informative. So for what it's worth, please accept my apologies for everyone having to see this silly crappola here at our favorite hangout. The vast majority of the people here are level-headed individuals who just want a friendly place to hang out and learn & share info about our beloved FoMoCo's. And *that* is what F150online is all about, not who you are, what you have, or what you do.

I'm a little confused here. Mike does not sell gasoline, nor work for a gasoline company. That would make him a consumer, or end user of the product. Now if I worked for BP, or any company for that matter, and heard that I had a customer(s) with some complaints about my product, I would want to find out what they are and do what I could to remedy the situation. Much like Mike does with the products he sells. This bulds customer loyalty, trust, and ultimatley a better product.

Now on the other hand, if a competetor who sells the same products and services says negative things about my product, that are not substantiated, then that is slander, lies, etc... and cause for aggressive action.

In today's world where we are always in search of good customer service, due to the general lack there of. I suspect that if any of us believed that what fordyfor, etc.. had to say was truely representative of BP's philosophy , that this would cause more of us not to use their product than anything Mike had to say.

Just my 87 worth.

Cool

Interesting observation Redwing - I missed that (old age I guess). But I went back and looked at a posting of a 'first time poster'. Same style of sign-off (initials).

I wonder if the IP addresses are pretty much the same. Just a hunch on my part.

Another point of interest is why a person that claims to be a BP Distributor would have " Owner/mech,muffler,tire" listed as his occupation in his profile - especially since he just set the profile up for his first post. Curious, isn't it?

Me thinks something is rotten in Denmark...

I live abroad so I can't offer an opinion on available gasoline in the U.S.However, I would like to point out maybe the specific gasoline station storage facilities Mike got his gas from are contaminated, hence Mike's
opinion on the bad quality. Also, I would like to point out FordyFour's use of bad language and physical threats are uncalled for. Fordy, let's be professional about this. We're all mature professionals in our own rights, sharing a common interest, building camaraderie through this web site, so let's not go around calling someone as nice as Mike an a$$hole, because your foul language doesn't speak highly of you. I never met Mike Troyer before and I don't think I'll ever get the chance to do so. I have only communicated with Mike through email and I have a very high respect for him. Mike, in MY opinion, is professional, unbiased, and knowledgeable in his chosen field (hat's off to you, Mike)and he was just expressing his opinions on that gas matter which may benefit the other users of this site. Fordy, you have two choices with Mike's opinions: TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. I hope
you can understand this. It's quite simple if you take the time to think it over and I strongly recommend you apologise to Mike for behaving inappropriately.
