Question for Mike T.
Hey Mike,
Thanks for the help today, there was just one other question I had wanted to ask you. Before I knew Superchips could reprogram my chip to make up for the tire size and different shift points IU had checked into a couple of aftermarket recalibrators. The one company specialized in fords. The reason I didn't buy it right away was because they had a problem with the anti-lock brakes not working properly. do you have any ideas about this and if reprograming the superchip will affect them, they seem to work fine now, being with all the snow here in NY I checked them them out tonight. Thanks again for the help and I got your fax, the superchip should be in the mail on wednesday. Oh, 1 other thing, to remove the chip I just have to make sure the key is off, right? Thanks again.... Gino

HI Gino!
No, having Superchips do the custom program to restore your speedometer accuracy will *not* have any affect on your anti-lock braking system.
Yes, all you have to do is make sure your ignition is off, then you can remove the Superchip. We recommend disconnecting the battery just to improve the *immediate* results after installing the Superchip, so that you don't have to wait 2-3 days before you start feeling the effects of the Superchip. So while it does not affect long-term results, it's a good technique for improving immediate results after installing the Superchip. In your case, I'd just have the keys out of the ignition, and then pull it to send in to us for the recalibration.
Have fun,
