Karick11, you will not be disappointed. My truck was strong before I chipped it. It's even stronger now. I check the gas millage and it get better than 21 on the highway. That's 21 mpg in a full sized pickup and it with my mods I figure it has a little more horsepower/torque than the 4.6 v8 has in stock configuration. My truck is a thrill to drive. Watch out when someone makes a blower for it. :-)

Cool

Bill,, thanks for the 1st hand data on chipping the 4.2. I'm sure I'm going to have a good time with it. Now the 3.55's will pay off!

Mike, I'll be in touch in a day or two to get things going on the chip. Glad to hear the word "discount" associated with the order. We do like discounts!! I'm definately psyched on feeling the results.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to end my messages with a list of goodies that my new 99 has. ( Hey, I'm learning!!)

C-ya......... Rick "karick" Lynch.....

Dear Karick11,

Anytime, we're happy to help whenever you're ready.

Oh, and to give yourself a "signature line" like many of us use, just go to your profile, and edit it, there is a box you can check to use a signature line, and you can enter whatever you want to list.

Have fun,

Talking

Thanks Mike, I'll be calling you today to order the "kick in the can" chip for the DQE2 comp. code. One quick Q for ya. I live in Rochester NY, and its kinda cold up here, is the chip going to allow for smooth operating with choke, poor gas quality, etc?
Thanks
Rick.

It's on it's way, and yes, it will be just fine in cold weather. Fuel injected vehicles do not have a choke as such, the ECU's program simply senses the temperature from the IAT sensor, and compensates once it compares that to the coolant temperature, for proper fueling for cold starts, you see.
