Chip works!

The new and improved chip works. I got 3 races in till Neal's thunderous pass set off a factory alarm and we had to leave.
I raced a friend that has 4:56 gears and a 400M I believe, in a 1980 F-100 reg cab short box flairside. He ususlly gets me out of the hole and I play catch up all the way down the track. Not last night! I pulled him out of the hole and Neal said I had him by 6 trucks at the finish.
I lost the next two but the difference was dramatic. Another friend, lots of friends with fast trucks, who has a 94 F-150 reg cab with a 302 and a cam, 4:10 gears. He gets me out of the hole and he has me by 4-5 trucks at the end. Last night I stayed with him and my front wheel was even with his rear wheel at the finish. I raced him again and missed 3rd so he beat me by 2.
I would say that the chip is doing its job.

PS. I still have to get the knock sensor figured out before any more work is done.

Hi JMC,
Glad to hear it - it's amazing how much more performance we can coax out of them in a thorough custom tune - it's typical to see anywhere from 3-5 more truck length's *additional* improvement in 1/4 mile blasts over what the standard Superchips performance tune does.
Sounds like I gotta call Neal tonight - I'd do it now, but my godson is coming over soon, so I'll talk to him tonight.
