Hi Wally,
Welcome to F-150 Online!
And thanks for calling today, it was a pleasure to speak with you. I'm glad we got a chance to talk at length about your Lightning & the mods you're doing to it, so everything will be correct and on track.
Your parts are leaving today on their way to you, and will be to you in just a few days via UPS. They will add a significant power gain, and will take care of that issue of dumping boost during the full-throttle upshift, etc. With these parts, even on the stock F1 tires, your truck will be capable of running in the upper 12 second range in the 1/4 mile, and with slicks, about 12.60 or so.
We can take the performance of that Lightning literally just as far as you want to go, it's all a matter of just how much performance each owner wants.
Have fun!

Mike,
Another way of saying this is it's as much performance as one is willing to spend.

You have that right GearHead...My mods on my 03 Hd are way up there..........Waiting on the last one and then assembly.....low 11"s and possible 10's in the works.....

Hi Gearhead,
You're exactly right. Another way we say this is "You can go just as fast as you want to spend."
And when you get right down to it, money is virtually always the ultimate limiting factor in *any* vehicle's performance, Ford, BMW, Talbot-Lago, you name it.

Hi ECM747,
Great to see you again!
Hope all is well with your 2003 Harley. The tuning R&D sessions we held in Florida in February went very well for the 2003 Lightning & the 2003 Harleys, by the way. Ford is doing some things differently for 2003 & we've got all of that working like a champ.
By all means, please do call, *I've been wanting to talk with you about the exhaust to see how all that went, & fill you in on all the tuning info & configuration changes we've documented on the '03's, etc.
Thanks for dropping by & talk to you soon!
