Troyer Performance

Hey Mike,

How much longer before your site is done? I'm thinking about being one of your first customers!

Hi twisted,

Pant, pant, we're behind, we're behind!

We had hoped to throw the doors open on March 1st, but it looks like it'll be another week or so. We had our meeting with the developer on Tuesday for them to show us the online store & go over links, etc. From that point on we've been beta-testing, editing, fine-tuning, going over all the various pricing, power gains, various text, changing some graphics, etc. in preparation for actual opening. You know, all the last-minute things that have to be done to make sure as few mistakes are published as possible before we actually open it up.

We're *very* close, right now it's just a matter of finishing the links testing, changing some product info & doing updates, etc and it'll be ready, so we're guessing about a week or so from now, if all goes well. It seems the closer we get, the more we find that needs fine-tuning, or correcting, or updating, etc.

As soon as we throw it open, we'll announce that here of course.

You know what would be awesome on your website, is a thing where u select you exact model (ie: 1998 F150, Reg Cab, 4.6, auto, 3.73) and then select the upgrades you plan to put on. And with any combination of upgrades, it will tell you the new HP an TQ ratings, and maybe predicted ET....

That would be hard to do, but damn, that would be sooooo awesome!

Hi Rick,

I agree, that *would* be awesome, and here at Performance we actually do have the very significant amounts of data & results from virtually every type of modification that would be required to support building such an application for the F-150. Which is a *bunch*, by the way, an awful lot of data will be required to do that well, so it's a good thing we've been accumulating that very data for years in this platform.

There's no way we have time to write that application right now (in time, perhaps), as we're feverishly working on the online store & e-commerce implementation to get the site's online catalog up & we're late as it is. However, if anyone wants to write the application (probably PERL, or javascript, etc.) for the purpose of us making it available to everyone at TroyerPerformance.com, we *can* provide virtually all of the actual data so that application could be built, and will host it so everyone will have access to it.

Hi Twisted,

Actually, within a week or so the first 3 sections of the Online Store should finally be opened up!

We're taking our time on this, trying to correct everything, properly notate & comment, etc. as nobody has ever really done before. Right now, we should be ready to do all the beta testing this week & then open the first 3 sections up. Right now, after initial beta testing, there are a couple of minor (hopefully) details with regard to UPS shipping rates, as our system provides actual, real-time UPS shipping costs based on the weight & dimensions of each product. I saw a couple of small issues there in testing last Friday, and passed them on to the developer for action, which should be completed by now. I'll see when I get back to it later today.

So it's coming together & won't be long now!
