New $25 Vortech Performance Chip
Hey Guys,
I'm looking on ebay and noticed Vortech is selling a new performance chip for only $25! This definitely sounds to good to be true. The description says you don't have to run 91 Octane either. The product is called the Vortech Modulator. Has anyone heard of this new chip, and is it a hoax or what? Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not familiar with the Vortech chip. However, you have to ask a few basic questions:
For $25 each, how much R&D could they be doing with real world vehicles?
If you don't have to run the higher octane, then they can't be doing too much in the way of timing mods, etc. In general, if you want more power via a chip mod, the price you pay is higher octane requirements. If the knock sensors start retarding the timing in your rig (due to low octane fuel) you will end up with the same (or less) power than you had before the chip install.
Skip the what ifs and get a SuperChip. Mike T. & company have spent some serious time perfecting the tune they have for each vehicle. Ask anyone who has one. They'll tell you what I'm telling you: SuperChips Rock !!
