I was surfing the web for detailing kits and came across what looks to be a decent deal on a Meguiar's kit. The Meguiar's Complete Car Kit is selling for $53, reduced from $66. It comes with 12 products (but not a bucket - but I can pick one up at home depot for $10 or so). Seems to have a lot of usable product...

You can never have enough detailing products, is what I always say! I do have plenty of Adam's stuff right now... but I'm sure I'll need more come springtime.

Question is, is this a good deal?

 

Go over to Walmart and see what Meguiars kit they have this year. After Christmas, if they have any left they will be marked down heavily.

Last year I did was glc did and got a whole bunch of junk that marked up heavily for holidaytime and after, boy was it cheap... feel bad for those idiots that buy the stuff at full price.

Yep. Most people don't realize that Walmart has "internal" sales going on. You just need to pay attention, and look for the red tags on the shelves. They are far and few, mostly limited to crap they want to get rid of as fast as they can. I've gotten some winner-winner chicken dinners out of it before by surprise.... however during the end of the holidays (Feb, especially), you'll see these tags a lot. Mostly in the less-trafficked areas of Walmart. You've got to be a keen shopper all the time, even at box stores like Walmart.
