Ceramic Coated Patmans 2018 Coyote
Howdy! Let's see if we can get this section up and going again!
Only being a couple months old and 2500 miles on the truck it was in pretty good shape to begin with. Product used was the Adam's Ceramic Coating Kit. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...fd5fd24b51.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...8438ccc3c7.jpg Here are the steps I did. 1. Wash/dry truck 2. Decontaminate paint with a Clay Mitt 3. One step correction for small amount of swirls it had 4. Washed again to get polish off the paint 5. Adam's Prep. Basically it removes all waxes from the paint(smells horrible but could definetly tell a difference once the prep was applied) 6. Adams coating. (I did a 2x2 section around the whole truck) basically side to side then up and down to level the product. Once its leveled wait until it starts to rainbow then wipe off with a very soft towel. Repeat all around the truck. 7. Ceramic Boost. It takes 24 to 48hrs for the ceramic to cure before being able to do this step. Basically its a sealant that goes over the coating and will maintain the coating and hell the hydrophobic qualitys. Its Recommended every 3 months. The coating is for 3 years. Overall it wasn't to bad but very time consuming. I had right about 18 hours into the truck from start to finish. Really nice job Coy. I've been wanting to try the ceramic but the time it takes and I've read you have to polish it off once it starts to break down. It takes me so long to polish and wax now anyways.

It does look awesome and I too have wanted to try ceramic, but I’ll probably stick with the Wolfgang sealant I’ve been using. Last long enough and is easy to use.

Looks great! Pat must be a happy camper.

Looks excellent. Love Adam's products.

I have played with detailing for years on my own vehicles and on my customers, was one of Adams early customers (the owner of the body shop I used helped Adam develop his products when he was still detailing trucks for a Los Angeles Coca-Cola distributor) and I have finally found what I consider the magic elixir. Step 1 - a good wash, step 2 - clay the paint, step 3 - Four star paint cleaner, step 5 - Eagle nano-wax. This is for a first time cleaning. On the second go round I may skip the clay depending on how the paint feels with a latex gloved hand wiped across it. I redo it once a year usually right after the bugs in East Tennessee settle down in the late fall and water still beads on the hood and roof. A dirty car, first time, may take a full day but on the second go around or a new car it is usually 5-6 hours. A buffer never touches any paint I clean. All are hand rubbed. |
Looks nice!!

It does look very nice, and Pat is probably very happy. But, with 18 hours labor, I bet his wallet is screaming UNCLE!
