Paint spots on my Crome rims?

I have some paint spots or overspray on my rims of my 18 KR I think it was on there when I picked it up at the dealer the beginning of April. The dealer is going to say it wasn’t there when they delivered it what would take them off without damaging the Chrome rims ? Thanks Dan

It depends if they are clear coated or not. If not, use paint thinner.

I have used the Turtle Wax on clear coated rims and it works very well. Does not take any of the clear coat off and it's not abrasive that's why I recommended it.

I've even used it to take tar and bugs off paint. Works very well.

They may not actually be real Chrome. They're probably Aluminum with the silver pockets, Or they may be the Plastic "Chrome Like" PVD rims. I use the Turtle Wax spray Bug and Tar remover. It's wicked good. Shake the spray bottle well, then spray a little bit on the area. I like to use my fingers to lightly rub it in. That way I can tell when it's smooth and clean. I use it on everything, paint, chrome, glass, even black trim. A few years ago we had a massive storm cell. It was almost a Tornado, actually thought it was. Trees fell over, some snapped off in two. We had some pines trees in the back of the house and the wind destroyed most off them. I ended up with pine needles, small branches and Sap all over my truck and '94 T'bird. The Turtle Wax B+T took it all off. Took some time to do it because it was literally all over the truck and car. Just sprayed, then massaged with my fingers and wiped it off. Left a nice shine too.........

Can you feel it with your fingers? It might be the chrome plating wearing thin and you are seeing the nickel (I believe?) plating underneath.
