Vinyl tonneau cover clean and shine?

Recently installed Truxedo Lopro QT. What is everyone using to clean and shine and where are you getting it? Their stuff seems pretty expensive. They say no petroleum or silicone.

I have a access cover. I use regular car wash soap and a soft brush to clean it. When I want to shine it up a bit, I use Meguiar's Hyper Dressing diluted 4:1.

303 Aerospace Protectant works very well too. You use it after you've washed and dried the cover.

I got a gallon of Megs HD, I've had it for about four years and only used about a half gallon. I use to use it everywhere but now only in my wheel wells. I don't like the way it washes off so easily, leaves white spots and it just a dressing, offers no protection or very little if any.

ACCESS® COVER CARE® Cleaner

We recommend ACCESS® COVER CARE® Cleaner for all our vinyl tonneau covers.

Agreed, but I don't know of any water-based products that last much better. It's cheap, easy to apply and can be put down without the surface being perfectly dry.

Most cover vendors state to stay away from the petroleum based products.

303 AP is water based also and doesn't contain any petroleum, alcohol, mineral oil or silicone.

Megs HD is cheap and easy to apply, I spray it in my wheel wells when wet too.. No complaints there.

I love HD. Use it on the tires, wheel wells, frame, bed rails, bed cover and wheels. It lasts 2 or 3 weeks of regular driving on the tires.

That's the beauty of having so many choices and products to try and choose from, there's something for everyone's preference. It does make my wheel wells and rear liners look nice.

I couldn't use it on my wheels, it would make my matte black wheels glossy, same reason I can't just spray it all over my tires. For my case I prefer a tire gel, and I feel it lasts a lot longer.

I like 303, I was actually able to pry my Dad away from years of abusing vehicles with Armor All thanks to it!

I don't think it lasts any longer than HD though, as soon as it rains, it's gonzo.

But really, there are soo many products out there, it's whatever works for you.
