Walmart oil change results

Thinking that I could save $30 on a synthetic oil Change by going to Walmart turned out to be a bust. The local mom and pop car shop that changes oil does the alingnment and stuff like that charged $85 for mobile one synthetic and oil filter. Long story short Walmart changed the oil for $20 more than they said (not happy about that) then on top of that they get oil all over the drivers seat and the outside of my truck. walmart is paying for it to be cleaned and they reimbursed me but I'm still upset i spent 3 hours just to get my oil changed. Lesson learned

That sucks. Try to save a few $$ and get a headache. How did they explain getting oil all over the truck?

Glad I bought motorcraft "synthetic" and did it all myself...only spent $40 and that's including a case of beer...actually my first time doing my own oil...taking the filter off isn't as bad as I thought it was

You could of taken it to the local high school and got better service and prices. I would never ever ever let Walmart get near my truck.

ive done my own oil changes. use mobil1 extended performance. normally it is about 9.25 per quart and the filter is like 18.00 at autozone. i just wait until they have their deal of 5qts and filter for $35....lol i get 7qts each time and the extended performance filter so it cost me like $60 instead of 90ish but thats what i pay for 10k miles of driving and not having to change my oil when its 2 degrees F outside....

I'm lucky. Same local guys working at the same WalMart since the doors opened. Bought all
my tires there and all my oil changes for the past 20 years. Nice group of guys, and not
just to me. Just plain folks trying to pay bills like everybody else. To bad other places are
different.
