BMW M3 Paint Correction Detail

This one needed a bit of work....compound was needed to lighten up the etch marks but that being said they were not removed completely. The etching was in there good.

We had Menzerna and a Paint Guy look at this car when they were in for meetings and they both agreed that this car needed to be wetsanded down and re cleared it was pretty bad.

I've always liked M3s and that one looks downright sweet after you worked on it. Other than the etching though, it didn't look too seriously thrashed. You should see a few of the vehicles I've worked on. (All of my pics now end up in The Detailer's Cafe.) Then again, they weren't all Bimmers either. As usual, nice work and thank you for sharing step by step pictures of the transformation.

PS: What's the other silver vehicle in the back. To me, it looks like what PJ O'Rourke once called an "ass engined Nazi slot car." Just teasing us Porsche fans?

That's what I thought. I've had a soft spot for those bad boys ever since I saw my first one in Sun Valley, Idaho in 1978.
