Has anyone ever vacuumed there truck out really well but still see like a little bit of dirt that can't be removed using a vacuum? The little dirt that I see is mainly on the driver side b/c I rarely have passengers and I can't see to remove it after vacuuming. I'm using a quality Craftsman wet/dry vac with 5hp. What else can I do?

I'm not sure I follow. Where is it at exactly? Why can't you remove it? Does it just require a shampooer type cleaning or is it actually just pieces of dirt that just don't seem to get sucked up in the vacuum? Can you agitate it with a brush to loosen it from the carpet fibers?

Maybe its wore down and ground in.

You may have to spot treat with some carpet cleaner. Thats why I have Husky liners throughout my truck. Really cuts down on wear and dirt.

x2. This should work pretty well for you.

Also, as good as a shop vac is, a vac like the Metro is much, much better at removing dirt from the interior.

All the time... This stuff may be frowned upon, but I just use wither TW or Blue Coral upolstry cleaner with the brush on top. I spray the rugs and srub it, vacumm and then the crap is gone. It's only like $4-$5 for a 22oz spray bottle.

Meaning that there are pieces of dirt that just don't seem to get sucked up.

Do you have a link to the Metro vac?

I order some supplies from ADS last Friday which included some interior brushes and I can't wait to get them on Thursday. When I do I will try brushing the carper.

He's not after the discoloration from the dirt or stains but rather the stuff that gets stuck in the fibers that the vacuum just won't pull out. I usually get this around the edges of the carpet where they meet kick panels, the sills, and where the seats mount to the floor.

I guess it would probably work. It's just not ideal.

You could also try blowing with air too. Blows all kind of stuff out and makes cleaning easy.
