Life of a clay bar?
So technically, how long should a clay-bar be used before it needs to be discarded?

It really depends on how dirty the paint is and what you use it on. I will normaly get about 2-3 details out of mine before I start using it on the wheels or the glass of the car and then I only get one set of wheels or glass on the car and I chuck it after that. Clay is cheap and paint is expensive so I dont push my luck with over using clay.

As long as its a synthetic like NXT 2.0 because the Carnuba wont stand up to the heat generated by the brakes.

I take a look at the paint then cut a piece off the clay block. When im done I usualy through the piece out if its bad if not I will save it for the wheels.
