That is a very open-ended question. Have you read the detailing sticky?

Pick a brand you want to work with and describe your paint condition or better yet take pics.

ok, read the detail dictionary too.

post photos of your paint in direct sunlight, mid profile and close up.

There are LOTS of products out there to use.

Megs
Poorboys
Menzerna
Optimum
ClearKote
Adams
Chemical Guys
Pinnacle
Zaino
Tropi-Care
Klasse
P21S
Wolfgang
Duragloss
3M
Mothers
XMT

You'll get lots of opinions, suggestions etc. My advice is to spend some time reading through the posts here, see the results and products use then make up your mind and give one or 2 a try. You may stick with your first choice you may jump around until you find what you are looking for to get the results you are looking for.

Finally, I will add, that the end results for most of the products is going to be similar but you will never get great results without proper prep work and steps. There are many ways to tie your shoes (Skin the cat is too original) and you must first learn the basics. This stuff isn't that hard, you'll make mistakes but quickly learn from them. A solid detail plan is comprised of these steps and yes some of them are optional.

Wash
Surface prep, clay
Defect correct/surface correct, polish, can be a multi step process
Glaze
Seal
LSP

Do some reading post your photos and we'll go from there.

Cheers

thanks i was thinking about claying then using the meguiars three step polish then toping it with a #26

glc 06-04-2008 06:52 PM

If you are going to top with #26, no need for the 3rd step - I'd use NXT 2.0 instead for the synthetic protection. Step 3 and #26 are very similar products.
