Detailed my dad's '91 HD FLHTC (Pics!)
Used the Meg's clay kit on the tank, front windscreen, and even some of the saddle bags. TurtleWax Chrome Polish on the rest of the bike  It's smooth as a baby's arse! He offered to teach me to ride, but I'm scared of trying to hold up that monster 1340 cc. I love Harley's but I'm going to wait until my mom gets a 600 Sportster before I learn to ride.

looks good, just saw the pic of your truck in your signature, just wondering what kind of lights you have behind the grill

Hella Optilux 2020's with aftermarket 100W Sylvania H3-ST bulbs replacing the 55W stockers.

Looks good!!
Go for it man just learn to ride on that bike it's older so i'd be less worried about it  haha. thats what i wish i did. My dad went out and bought me a new bike (04 HondaCRF 150F) to learn to ride on tore it all up within an hour but i learned to ride and he was a little pissed. now got an old bike now(00 Honda CR 125) and can tear it up no worries! haha |
That dog looks pissed.

Awesome bike! Vicious dog!
|
Looks great! How much time did you spend on it?
|
Yeah, our dog goes beserk with those Screamin' Eagle pipes growling. I spent a good 3 hours. It's hard because of all the crevasses and turns and everything. It's not like a flat body panel of a truck, I'll tell ya that, lol.
The reason I don't want to ride it is because of it's weight. My dad has dropped it twice- once in the sand and once today when washing it. The bars protected it and he just layed it down until we picked it up. Nothing major. Also forgot to post that I waxed it with some Gold Class and Carnauba wax. The gas tank is smoother than a pane of glass and it feels soo...righteous.... |
looks great!!! I'd say go ahead and learn... My dad rides a 1100 Yamaha V-star and Mom rides a 650 V-star... (brother just sold his 1100 Vstar) Although I am going to probably break the V-star tradition, I learned on both the 650 and the 1100-- its not too bad.
Sucks to do the detail, but it is WELL worth it in the end, as I see you just found. |

Lost all respect for you with the above statements. Do you wear low rise panties or a thong. 1340 cc's is kinda small. |

Raptor would not expect less... |
Dude, im 16, and the only bike I've ever ridden is a 110cc dirt bike. Why start me out on a friggin fully-loaded 1340? Thats like teaching a 13 yr old to drive in a semi..... I can hold it up and I'm certain I can get it rolling, but my dad says he has a hard time when stopping and he's been riding since he was 12. It requires leg power to hold it up when its leaning. I forget the weight, but its a HUGE bike.
