Thought I'd share =)

I've been trying to start up a shadetree type of detail service as a summer gig while not teaching school. Did a lincoln a few days ago and liked it enough to share. talk about brightening up a white paint job. lol

I know the sun angle had some to do with it but it was still a big difference.

Didn't do anything really special from my point of view. Of course hardly anyone arround here has even heard of a clay bar. Used Simple Green to soak on mirrors, tires/wheels, front end. Helps make the bugs squishy again. Good ol' fashioned hand wash with an MF mitt. Hand dried of course. Clay bar over the whole thing. Re-Clay bar problem spots. Followed by a coat of Zymol with a DA. I know a lot of pleople don't like zymol as much as they used to, but I've had good experiences with it for years now.

Be *very* careful with Simple Green on paint... especially older paint. It will work on the clear and leave 'hazy spots' that are nearly impossible to remove.

DO NOT use SG on single stage paint. Trust me... mega problems.

Looks good.

If you are looking for something that works great at quickly removing bugs from paint, pick up a Sure Scrub sponge. I picked one up a few months back and it works great at removing those stubborn bugs. When I first received the sponge and felt it I was a little hesitant about using it on paint, but I gave it a shot using plenty of soapy water for lubrication and it was just amazing how easy those bugs came off.
