Figured I'd show a few pics of my boat detailing from this weekend... The process was wash, polish with Megs #45, and then wax with Megs #56. I didn't see the need to hit it up with the oxidation remover (Megs #49) this time around...

Then, I got a wild hair in my *** to cut a hole in the side of my boat and finally put on the Snake eye lights like the original Sidewinders had...



That was just a little nerve wracking... I needed a change of underwear after doing that...

Everything was applied using a PC and removed by hand...

This boat is 34 years old and still shines great... And I don't think the previous owner of 10 years really put much wax on it, if any at all....

Now you have me wanting to get rid of my cheap forward mount marker light.

After I fix the risers that is.

As I was working on mine last night, I noticed that the dog chewed off my pitot tube for the speedo while he was trashing my trailer lights.

Something else I'm going to have to purchase and fix.

 

Thats not bad, I'll gladly trade you parts bills.

If I cant repair my risers then, they start at $135 each and thats X2.....

What are the chances for a boat owner to beable to salvage 1 must less two? Probably have to buy atleast one.

 

A day and a half of detailing, a new battery, a new set of trailer lights with wiring, revamping some wiring inside the powerhead on the motor and finally firing it up.. 3 days total. I still need to slap a fresh coat of paint on the trailer but at least it's clean.

First time this boat has been out from under the tarp in 4 years now and it fired right up after emptying the tank and adding fresh gas. I say it fired right up.... the first time that I bumped the key the old battery shorted out and died.
